Michael Bloomberg has gall.
He never has to worry whether his insurance covers a particular doctor or hospital. If he thinks there are better treatment options in another city or country, he can go there. Many large teaching hospitals have wings devoted to the superrich — they’re like luxury hotels with medical staff. He’ll never call for a nurse and wait an hour for his pain medication. Nor will he need to find family or friends who can skip work to take him to his appointments — he’ll just hire people. Bloomberg has a level of medical security most of us can’t imagine.
Yet now Bloomberg is going out of his way to make sure that the rest of us don’t even have access to a doctor. I'm sure it’s just a coincidence that under Elizabeth Warren’s health care proposal, he would pay billions more a year in taxes.
I'm now hoping that the Democratic primary comes down to Warren vs. Bloomberg. I'd love to see them alone on a debate stage — and watch her tear his greed to shreds.
He may claim to be concerned about Trump, but at the end of the day, he’s just another greedhead. Bloomberg, Steyer, and the other “liberal” billionaires are more concerned about their 10th home than about our health care.
After the first reports came out, I chipped in again to Senator Warren’s campaign. Michael Bloomberg is now exhibit #1 about financial inequality and the corruption of wealth.
Go get him, Elizabeth!
